After being charged with burglary and criminal trespassing in Coweta County, Georgia, on Sunday, comedian Katt Williams was released on $41,150 bond on Monday afternoon, according to TMZ. The “Wild ‘N Out” alumnus reportedly had a crowbar when he entered a home in Newman, Georgia, from which he allegedly stole $3,555 in jewelry and collectible coins. A lawyer for the comedian (born Micah Williams) told TMZ that his client had been staying at the home of producer Barry Hankerson while filming a movie in the area. Attorney William Briggs added that his client was involved in a dispute with one of Hankerson’s employees, who fabricated the incident, Briggs claimed.

Comedian and rapper Katt Williams remained jailed in suburban Atlanta on Monday after police said they arrested the entertainer for breaking into a home. Williams, who police say is 38, is charged with burglary and criminal trespassing, according to Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Major James Yarbrough. A deputy at the Coweta County Jail confirmed Williams was being held there and that a magistrate was expected to set bond at an arraignment Monday afternoon. Yarbrough said the Sunday night incident happened at a home in Newnan, about 38 miles southwest of Atlanta. Yarbrough said the unidentified homeowner called police around 9 p.m. to report the comedian “gained entry by breaking into the home, and items were taken from the residence. “Yarbrough said jewelry was taken, but did not have further details.

The movie Precious was scarce in the  theaters  last  week, as Precious has 18 movie theaters to start off. But more Precious movie theaters are to come, since the buzz and controversy over Precious has just begun. The Precious movie theaters in New York, LA and Atlanta are the first real chance to see what all the hype and Oprah-worship has been about. Over the next several weeks, the general public will see Precious in movie theaters, then judge whether critics, Oscar pundits, and the two most powerful African-Americans on television were right about this film. The film made 1.8 million from just 18 theaters and was the best grossed ever for a film opening in fewer than 100 theaters.

Court records show singer Usher has filed for divorce from Tameka Foster Raymond after less than two years of marriage. The 30-year-old Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, filed the petition Friday in Superior Court in Atlanta. The court record did not give any details about the split between the R&B star and his wife, who were married in August 2007.

Oprah is in talks to move her Chicago-produced show to Los Angeles in 2011,With the show’s syndication contract to CBS up in 2011, Winfrey would be free to move the show to her own long-delayed cable channel, Oprah Winfrey Network. Oprah Winfrey has no immediate plans to give up her syndicated talk show and move it to her new cable network, according to a spokesperson for her production company, Harpo. “Oprah has not made a decision,” said Angela DePaul. “She’ll be making an announcement before the end of the year.”
