Sasha and Malia Obama finally have there dog.  It’s an Portuguese water dog and his name is Bo Diddley Obama.  The girls cousin has a cat name Bo and Michelle’s dads nickname is Diddley.  The pup is a gift from Senator Ted Kennedy and his wife.  The Obama’s were going to introduce the dog to the world on Tuesday, but the word got out on the internet, so we may met him sooner.  He is the cutiest little thing that you ever want to see.

Snoop Dogg sent all twitters a message and video letting them know that his wife in not dead.  There is a nasty rumor going around that she had passed away.  Why don’t they stop this mess, last time it was Frankie, Keyshia Cole’s mom.

Oprah Winfrey did an interview with a local paper in South Africa, and she said that one of the mistakes that she made was being overprotective of the girls, which has led to an impression that the school is isolating them from society.  This is after four students were expelled and three others were suspended in a second sexual misconduct scandal to hit the Leadership Academy for girls.  She also said that it was insulting that the family of one of the expelled girls had complained to the press even though she had been warned before about her behavior.  The girls in there own testimony during the (disciplinary) hearing said they knew they were breaking the rules and that they deliberately broke the rules.  They were home sick and knew that if they broked the rules they would either be expelled or suspended.  The bottom line is that the majouity of girls are thriving, really fulfilling the dream and vision I had. 

NOT EASILY BROKEN, the T.D. JAKE movie staring Morris Chestnut, Taraji P. Henson, Kevin Hart and Jenifer Lewis is out on DVD today.  Now if you collect movies like I do, then you need this movie.  I love it and will have to have 3 copies.  I’m known for looking at a movie over and over and over and over again when I love it.  Just like THE COLOR PURPLE!

Talk show host Reuben Armstrong has a new book out that is titled CROOKS AND HOMOS IN THE PULPIT.  I’m sure that this will be a best seller because drama sells.  He takes a shot at a couple of local and national pastors of mega chruches.  Some of the things that he deals with in this book are things that people have been saying for years.  We’ll see if he can get there attention with something worth reading.

Erykah Badu is a free woman again.  She has decided to call it quits with her last baby daddy Jay Electronica the rapper/producer.  They were not married, but like grandma say it just don’t look nice for a young lady to have all of these babies for all of these different men.  What are you looking for in other people that you can’t find with-in yourself.  This is not the day and age to be sleeping around with all of these different partners unprotected.  You talking about call TYRONE, you better find somebody that you can say I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU with.

The Miami Heat were not the only ones bringing the heat in Miami over the weekend.  Star Jones and her ex-husband Al Reynolds met for the first time since their divorce was final at the same event.  They were both at the Sony Ericsson Open In Miami over the weekend.  They did not speak to each other at all and to add insult to injury Al was with his new girlfriend, Nicole Hutchinson.  WHAT, AL HAS A NEW GIRLFRIEND?  The staff of the tournement was worried that there was going to be drama off the courts with Star and Al, but they were very adult like.

Chris Brown plea not guilty and he was in court today, looking like he knows that he is in trouble.  Rihanna did not show up today she was represented by her lawyer.  He said that she would testify if she was asked.  Chris Brown’s mom sat in the front row, when it was all over they left the courtroom and did not talk to the reporters.

Chris Brown is due back in court today to face the two felony counts against him.  This deals with the altercation with Rihanna following a pre- Grammy party.  He has been charged with assault and making criminal threats.  The lawyers of both Rihanna and Chris Brown will represent both of them today, neither Chris nor Rihanna will not be in court today.  When I get an update, i will post it.

Congratulations to ATL’s own Ciara, she is scheduled to appear on SNL on May 13th.  There is talk that Justin Timberlake will also join her.  The last time Justin was on the show he did the Beyonce SINGLE LADIES dance, which a lot of people are still talking about.  Justin remember it’s all about Ciara this go round, not you.  I think he’s ready to come out!

The Today Show has announced it 2009 summer concert series.  The Toyota Concert Series will kick off on May 1st with NO DOUBT.  JENNIFER HUDSON is scheduled for May 15th.  The Black Eyed Peas will perform on June 13th.   KATY PERRY will take the stage on July 24rh and FLO RIDA will do his thang on August 14th.  The person that will close out the series has not been announced yet and the last concert will take place on August 28th.
