The BET HONORS and aired last night.  The show was outstanding, but the night belonged to ANITA BAKER, she let the kids have it.  She looked great and sound like she did when she first hit the scene.  Ne-Yo showed out as usual and R&B singer Monica, my homegirl, was not going to let Anita Baker out do her, so she sit the place on fire, dropping and thangs, you go girl.  WHITNEY HOUSTON, ok, if we can get the old Whitney Houston back it will be over for a lot of these fake singers…I don’t have to call no names, they know who they are.  WHITNEY, WHITNEY, WHITNEY COME ON WHITNEY.  Make sure you check out BET i’m sure that they will air the BET HONORS all during Black History Month.

BOBBY VALENTINO’S new cd is in stores today titled THE REBIRTH.  This is his first album since leaving DTP.  He’s feeling JESUS like, how else would you explain his duet with DOTTIE PEOPLES…LOL

CHRIS BROWN is going to think twice before he puts his hands on another female.  Just incase you have not heard, he and Rihanna was attending a pre Grammy party and when they left things got ugly in the car and he put his hands on her.  Well Wrigley’s Doublemint gum has suspended his ads and some reports are saying that they have blew the contract into a bubble and popped it.  Chris Brown will not be apart of the NBA ALL-STAR GAME WEEKEND.  A spokesperson for the league confirmed that Chris Brown has decided not to attend.  He was scheduled to play in the All Star Celebrity Game and help Shaquille O’Neal introduce the players before the game.  I’m sure that this is just the beginning of the long road ahead that he will have to travel.  Not to mention the Rihanna is working hand and hand with the LAPD to build a domestic violence case against him…WOW…CHRIS BROWN  will have to live with this lfor the rest of his life ike IKE TURNER.

They are getting ready to do the MAHALIA JACSON story, the gospel great.  Yolanda Adams is the person that they want to play Mahalia, but she has her eyes set on play another great lady, LEONTYNE PRICE, the opera diva.  Yolanda said that she would love to see her good friend LeSHAUN PACE in the role of Mahalia Jackson. One thing that we know is, which ever lady wears that hat will be a treat for all to see, because Yolanda and LeShaun are two singers that will make you shout, just by singing happy birthday.

I guess that old saying “when you’re hot you’re hot” is very fitting for BEYONCE. There is talk that Beyonce is the first choice of the producers,writer and director to play ANGELA DAVIS in the new bio-pic.  She did such a great job as Etta James, who else would come to mind.  I say go for it y’all, great choice.  The next movie that you can catch Beyonce in is the suspense thriller OBSESSED with IDRIS ELBA.  It hits theaters on April 14th.

The Grammy Awards were off the chain.  There were plenty of highlights, but the one that was priceless, was when Jennifer Hudson performed YOU PULLED ME THROUGH…I think the whole world was in tears.   Jennifer Hudson received the grammy for Best R&B album.  Lil Wayne showed out  during his performance with Robin Thicke, which was a tribute to New Orleans  and he received 4 of the 8 awards that he was nominated for. Congratulations to Ne-Yo, whom received 2 of the 6 awards that he was nominated for and showed up with his girlfriend on his arms…YOU GO NE-YO.  T.I. recieved best Rap performance by a duo or group for SWAGGA LIKE US, featuring Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne, which was another highlight of the night when they performed.  What was up with M-I-A?

I loved the performers, but i missed seeing the entertainers getting the awards and making there acceptance speeches.

Chris Brown and Rihanna were in L A for the Grammy Awards, but he ended up in the L A jail.  What had happened was they were on there way to or leaving Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party and they got into a heated debate in the car and he just couldn’t keep his hands to himself.  The police was called, but when they arrived Chris was no where to be found, but he turned himself in and was charged with one count of felony threats.  His bail was 50,000 dollars.  This is so shocking, because Chris Brown spoke about him growing up in a domestic violence house and he said that he would never put a woman what he witnessed his mother going through.  Reports are coming out that the fight was sparked by Rihanna giving him herpes.  Chris Brown you are in trouble, if this is true, why were you having unpretected sex with her anyway you are not married.  CHRIS BROWN YOU NEVER PUT YOUR HANDS ON A LADY, BOTTOM LINE.  Both of them backed out of there performances at the Grammy’s.   

Access Hollywood is reporting that Usher Raymond’s wife, Tameka is having unknown complications from her recent plastic surgery.  The surgery took place in South America.  Usher and a neurosurgeon from LA’s Cedars-Sinai flew to Brazil to check on his wife.  Usher was scheduled to perform at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party, but did not perform because of the medical emergency.  We are praying for her and hope that everything is alright.
