It’s that time of year again!!!!  It’s time for the FRANK & WANDA MORNING SHOW Christmas Wish List 2008!!!  This is our way of helping our listeners have a blessed holiday despite their financial hardships.  We know that this year has been hard on everyone and FRANK & WANDA wanted to be sure that our listeners would still be able to rely on us to pull through.  This morning during the show FRANK discussed his desire to do more than what the budget was allowing.  Now you know sometimes my sister feels like the LORD is sending her a message and BABY guess where he led her this morning….  WANDA decided to call on a dear friend for help.  WANDA called our very own USHER!!!!  Do you know that USHER didn’t hesitate to donate $20,000 towards our efforts to help 10 families in need this holiday season!  I just love that USHER has always taken care of his people.  He told us this morning that he considers himself an ambassador of Georgia and will always help when it’s needed.  As successful as he is, he has managed to stay grounded and humble.  Thank you USHER for having such a big heart and for helping us help others!!!  And we must send a shout out to USHER’S mom J PAT for doing such a great job raising USHER to be the man he is today!

BOBBY BROWN: THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHIN BUT, is in stores today.  This is book has been in the works for a while, but when WHITNEY HOUSTON got wind that her ex, BOBBY BROWN, and his friend DERRICK HANDSPIKE were working on a tell all book, she was like HELL TO THE NAW.  HANDSPIKE felt that BOBBY BROWN was missing the release deadlines on purpose, so he decided to make changes so that it reads as a biography instead of an autobiography.  HANDSPIKE said that he had invested too much of his cheese into this project to let it die.  So pick up your copy today, I wonder if Bobby’s girlfriend made the book, WANDA SMITH of V-103…LOL

“THE CARTER,” a documentary about the rise of LIL WAYNE, will premiere at the SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL next month.  Weezy said that he wrote his first rap when he was eight years old!  He said when all the other kids were playing hide-and -go-seek and football he was on the porch rapping.  No wonder he has so much music!!!  The SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL runs from January 15th through 25th.  LIL WAYNE just keep on making that cheese, not to mention that he has the most grammy nominations this year with 8, and he’s the only rap artist to sell a million copies of his latest album THA CARTER III it’s first week out.

Singer BRANDY is back with a brand new cd today after a being out of the spotlight for 4 years.  The cd is titled HUMAN, and she still got it! 

That’s why the PEOPLE STATION, V to the 103, is bringing her to town for our next Soul Session.  It will take place on December 17th at 595 NORTH EVENT VENUE & LOUNGE.  SLIM of 112 will also perform.  You can not buy these tickets anywhere, you have to keep your radio locked to the people station to win tickets to this exclusive event.  You know that I will be in the house SHARP AS A TACK…LOL

MUSIQ SOULCHILD has a new cd in stores today and he doesn’t want everyone thinking that his talent is only limited to ballads.  So his new album, ON MY RADIO, introduces us to a new MUSIQ SOULCHILD.  I love the new cd, especially the duet with MARY J. BLIGE titled IF U LEAVE.  (It’s a ballad…lol…He didn’t say that he was going to walk away from what works, he’s just making room for something new!)  I see BARACK OBAMA’S message of CHANGE is catching on…

Speaking of MUSIQ, The PEOPLE STATION V to the 1033333333333 and BORDERS BOOKSTORE has teamed up to present MUSIQ SOULCHILD live this Saturday at the Mall at Stonecrest.  The performance is scheduled for 5pm and afterwards he will be signing his new cd.  Hmmm… I wonder if he’s going to sing a ballad…lol

SERENA WILLIAMS’ old man COMMON has a new album in stores today.  His cd is titled UNIVERSAL MIND CONTROL.  I love it!  He and Serena must be serious, because I hear some “I’M IN LOVE” kind of lyrics on this new project.  I’m sure Serena had a lot to do with the title UNIVERSAL MIND CONTROL. 

Also, AVANT’S new self-titled cd with CAPITOL RECORDS is in stores today.  SNOOP DOGG is featured on the song titled ATTENTION.

TIMOTHY MCGEE a postal worker from Boston has filled a two-million dollar lawsuit against OUTKAST’S ANDRE 3000 claiming the rapper stole his ideas for the cartoon series CLASS OF 3000.  McGee said that he submitted his concept to the network in 1997, only to have it rejected. Child he just want some easy cheese… ANDRE 3000 is getting ready to take him to class…lol

OPRAH WINFREY’s HARPO INC. made 345 million dollars last year.  This is why she is the winner of the Annual POWER 100 LIST of hollywood Reporter.  This year she is the most powerful woman in entertainment, last year she was number six. 

She has also put to rest all of the talk that she is going to be working for PRESIDENT ELECT OBAMA’S administration.  OPRAH issued a statement saying,  ”I have a few full-time jobs already and a few full-time commitments, you know-contractual commitments that say I have to be where I am.  So it never ever occured to me, not even occured to me.  Even if I was offered, I still have contractual commitments and what could I do?  I do what I do best on TV every day.”

OPRAH WINFREY’S production company did confirm that she’ll have a live show from the KENNEDY CENTER OPERA HOUSE in Washington one day before the inauguration ceremony and tape another one on January 21. 

Oprah all of that is cute, but CAN A GIRL GET AT LITTLE CHEESE! 

ATL rapper TI did his thang on SNL over the weekend and he represented to the fullest.  He always looks good in the little knit caps.  On saturday he had on a gray one with a matching scarf and some jeans. He performed “Whatever You Like.”  Congratulations on your SNL gig TIP.
