Bad Vibes

Vibe magazine is closing. Founded by Quincy Jones and Time Warner, the general interest music magazine has had a serious decline in readers after Vibe was bought by the Wick group in 2006. LA Times released a statement from Danyel Smith the former Chief Content Officer VIBE Media Group & Editor in Chief, VIBE in which he thanked the readers and expressed that they will miss serving the fans. The unfortunate demise of the company occured on the eve of their sixteenth anniversary. RIP VIBE MAGAZINE
Quincy Jones has stepped forth and is attempting to reclaim the magazine.

so sad to see hear about this magazine folding. i did hear that Quincy has plans to try and make it an online only publication. i think he should move forward with those plans, instead of letting there be a lapse in time btwn the printed and online versions.
