WANDA SYKES’ GOT A LOT OF PEOPLE UPSET!

Comedian Wanda Sykes was performing at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and she did not hold back. John McCain and Rush Limbaugh are two people that have let President Obama have it from time to time. So have no fear Mr. President Wanda Sykes is here. Rush Limbaugh was addicted to pain killers for a while, so Wanda made a joke about that referring to Limbaugh as the 20th hijacker for 9-11. Rush Limbaugh said that he wants President Obama to fail. Wanda Sykes said that she hope Rush’s kidneys fail.
She took a swipe at John McCains’ wife and his daughter was not to happy. She talked about McCain giving President Obama grief about the new helicopters he didn’t order. “I think McCain was a little bitter because he wanted to be in the new helicopters. Mr. McCain, I’m sure if you ask nicely, your wife will buy you a new helicopter.” The White House Spokesman said that he had not spoken to the president about Wanda Sykes performance, but added “I think there are a lot of topics that are better left for serious reflection rather than comedy, and I think there’s no doubt that 9/11 is part of that.” He also pointed out that Wanda Sykes was booked by the association not the White House. Rush Limbaugh, John McCain and everybody else talks about our President everyday, so I know that they are not upset about these JOKES! They use words to hurt peoples feelings, she was just making light of situations. SHE’S A COMEDIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m not a fan of Wanda Sykes, but she hit the hammer dead on….
How you gonna hope somebody fail, then get mad when another hope you fail.

I haven’t heard the whole story nor seen the complete taping but based only on the two jokes posted here. I think that if Wanda wanted to take shots at McCain and Limbaugh, The White House was probably not the most appropriate venue. Although the joke about McCain was not all that bad, it was funny, it was something that’s okay to be taken lightly. But the joke about Limbaugh was a little too far on the fatality tip. I think it has added yet one more thing to The President’s agenda. The press will force him to address the issues that were brought out about his ex-pastor. We have to be careful and do things within reason to NOT allow ourselves to be defeated. Maybe this is a situation that can be easily and quickly rectified. I think we should really try not to put The President in tough positions. Basically, I think The President is a very smart man and he does not need to stoop to any level beneath him to promote his ability nor display his frustration with negativity. “Those jokes on Comic View or any other comedy venue - Cool.” “Those jokes at The White House - Not Cool.” Because, until The President’s team take care of any damages, it’s not a good look for The President. Things like this always have ways of showing up in the worst way during Re-election time. Maybe Limbaugh does the things that he does and says the things that he says just to build a hugh database of things that could be turned into negative press during Re-election. “Think before you speak. Please do not allow the satisfaction!”

If the press would force him to address the issues that were brought out about his ex-pastor, the press will certainly stay on him until he addresses something that took place in his house during a formal event there, to which she was invited. We have to be careful and do things within reason to NOT allow ourselves to be defeated. Maybe this is a situation that can be easily and quickly rectified. Wanda Sykes is who she is, rude and loud. Now there are some things funny in politics and then you can take things too far. See that’s what happens when you let some comedians get on the podium where they do not belong. You will never see her host the Oscars, MTV awards or anything else. Some things are just not funny no matter how you put a spin on it. Now that she is a “Momma, Daddy, (baby parental unit I should say) she needs to go home and explain to the twins “what the hell was I thinking!”

Did anyone watch Wanda Sykes on Jay Leno last night? Her jokes were hilarious on there also - especially about the one about the media asking when they will see the ‘real’ Michelle Obama. Wanda went on to explain to Jay (and the audience and those of us watching, that the media was waiting for Michelle to pop her neck, snap her fingers and go “off” on Barack. Wanda’s response was that every black woman does not pop her neck and snap her fingers. . She also went on to say that she happens to know that Michelle has rods in her neck so she CAN’T pop her neck like some women do (too hilarious!). Hopefully it was also eye-opening for people who have the perception that ALL black women pop their necks and snap their fingers. We don’t.
Also, another entertainer followed her (Dame Edna) who happened to crack a couple of jokes at Wanda’s expense. I have to say, Wanda didn’t go “off” on her. I might have told her a thing or two especially when she told Wanda that the man who plays the guitar on the show (Kevin) was one of “your people”. Kevin’s black. Wanda looked at her, Kevin lowered his head, and then Wanda did the black power fist and Kevin did it back at her. Then again, Wanda could have been balling her fist up at Dame Edna! She probably deserved it.
