OBAMA’S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
Citing a “deficit of trust” in government by the American people, President Obama’s first State of the Union address urged Congress to erode the influence of special interests and work together to confront the nation’s most pressing problems. In the nationally televised speech Wednesday night to a joint session of Congress, Obama sought to reassure Americans angry and nervous about the pace of economic recovery that his government understands the challenges and would act boldly to meet them.
Obama called for a new political climate of “common sense” approaches that invest in the American people without building “a mountain of debt.”
Highlights of the speech
“We have to recognize that we face more than a deficit of dollars right now. We face a deficit of trust — deep and corrosive doubts about how Washington works that have been growing for years,” Obama said.

PEOPLE ARE SOOOOO IGNORANT. THIS COUNTRY WAS SCREWED UP 8 YEARS REPEAT 8 YEARS, DUE TO BUSH’S MISMANAGEMENT, AND GENERAL FOOLISHNESS. THE ECONOMY TO BE PREPARED OVERNIGHT OR WITH A YEAR. ITS GOING TO TAKE A GOOD 10 YEARS TO SEE SUBSTANTIAL IMPROVEMENT. THATS LIKE ME SMOKING CIGARETTES OR BEING 300 OVERWEIGHTED ALL MY LIFE, AND THEN WANTING TO STOP COLD TURKEY OR LOOSE WEIGHT IN ONE MONTH. YOU DIDN’T 300 POUNDS OVERNIGHT, SO OF COURSE YOU WILL NOT LOOSE WEIGHT OVERNIGHT. YOU BEEN SMOKING FOR YEARS, ITS TAKES ABOUT 30 DAYS TO FORM A HABIT. YOU NO GOING TO JUST STOP IN ONE DAY OR EVEN 3 WEEKS. THESE THINGS TAKE TIME.
THESE CRITICS NEED TO BE PATIENT, AND REALIZE HOW MANY YEARS WE WERE IN A MESS, AND BE A LITTLE BE UNDERSTANDING AND INTELLIGENT ABOUT THE MATTER. BARACK OBAMA IS A VERY INTELLIGENT MAN, BUT HE IS NOT GOD, THEREFORE HE’S NOT PERFECT.
THATS ONE THING ABOUT PEOPLE THEY WILL BUILD YOU UP, ONLY TO KNOCK YOU DOWN, IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE. NOT REALIZING NO ONE IS PERFECT.
